BANNED and CANCELLED Series
Volume I & Volume II

J.B. Schaefer, author of Banned and Cancelled, has fulfilled his lifelong dream of writing and publishing his dystopian novel.  Inspired by his love for political science and history, he uses today’s world events to create a dystopian fiction allowing readers to contemplate how our actions or better yet, inactions might have for future generations.

Banned and Cancelled is loosely inspired by the real-life story of J.B. Schaefer, blending history with predictions of what the world could look like soon. The fictional novel reminds us of the past and gives warnings about the future if society remains apathetic in not holding those in power responsible.

Schaefer stretches the boundaries of the reader’s imagination with an eloquent description of the New World and a tyrannical government that had once had every intention of creating a utopian society.  However, he strategically places historical events throughout times that have made an influenced society allowing this dystopian world to come to fruition.  The risk Schaefer’s writing has taken, almost constructing a unique way to tell a dystopian is unlike most novels in the same genre.  He is unapologetic in his approach providing entertainment to those who love science fiction, history, and suspense.  As the reader places themselves into the extraordinary plight of Byron, they will realize their actions or inactions questioning those in power can be very impactful to the future of our world as we know it.
